In een interview met Treyarch door PC Games Hardware maakt medewerker Cesar Stastny duidelijk dat DirectX 10 niet door World at War ondersteund wordt. De game zal dus gewoon op DirectX 9 draaien.
De reden hiervoor is de meeste consoles, zoals de Xbox360, de API ervan niet ondersteunen. Voor ontwikkelaar Treyarch is het niet gebruikelijk om DirectX 10 te gebruiken omdat dat niet compatibel is met consoles, terwijl DirectX 9 dat wel is. |

Het vereist dan ook veel om een spel als dit op zowat alle consoles + pc te maken. Dan kan het best zijn dat ze de wel eens een platform tekort doen. Zeur niet zo, 't zal best wel mooi worden! |

wat een zeikerds zijn jullie toch. Je denkt toch niet dat ze een kut looking game op de markt gaan brengen, sukkels, leer eerst maar eens het verschil tussen dx 10 en dx 9.
Daarbij is dx 10 niet interessant, misschien over een paar jaar als windows 7 uit is, maar vista zuigt dikke neger lullen! |

ach alleen maar mooi... dx10.1 is veels te zwaar in verschillende tests zou je echt een HELE zware pc moeten hebben wil je de game kunnen spelen. Ik heb een simpele extreme overclocked 8800GT van XFX en 4gb geheugen met quadcore processor die ik overclock maar zelfs dan zou je maar 25 frames a 30 per sec halen. Tering laag dus.
En zou er een extra kaart bij kunnen gooien in sli maar dit verbeterd de prestaties maar met 5 fps ofzo. en zou je meteen ook een dikke voeding erin moeten zetten anders trekt het systeem het niet. Dus mensen kunnen wel zeuren over dat ze dx10 willen maar zolang DX10 nog zoveel kinder ziektes heeft kan ik me onmogelijk voorstellen dat als de game strx een dx10 is je hem niet lekker kan spelen omdat de boel stottert.Dan baal je goed als de boel niet lekker loopt en dat terwijl je bvb net je pc geupgrade hebt. Nee ik blijf lekker nog even bij XP en DX9 komt bij vista ondersteund heel veel hardware/software niet van de xp.. geluidskaarten etc etc.
En dx9 engines worden ook continu mooier en laten we eerlijk zijn niemand wil ff 300 a 400 euro even inleggen zodat ze weer 1 game kunnen spelen. Dan kan je beter een ps3 halen..heb je meteen een blu ray player .
Neen lekker nog een jaar door gamen op dx9 en dan hopen dat over een jaar dx10 beter is door ontwikkeld en de grafische DX10 kaarten wat zijn gezakt in prijs.
Dan pas wordt het intressant..op het moment nog niet. en dat extra glimmetje op je wapen geloof ik wel 
Als het net zo mooi wordt als cod4 of nog een beetje extra dan zijn we allemaal wel blij denk ik..vergelijk de graphics van cod4 maar eens met de nog uit te komen band of brothers hells..blablabla. die moet nog uitkomen en ziet er niet uit. Dus gewoon DX9 nog ff denk dat het een slimme zet is geweest voor dx9 te kiezen ipv dx10. scheelt waarschijnlijk ook een half jaar codering dus een snellere release |

wat een ruk game wordt cod5 man.. net ff naar die coop beelden gekeken..man o man wat slecht. de japanners hebben totaal geen ai ofzo. Zodra je in dat filmpje bij het vliegveld bent komen ze als gekken recht op je squad afrennen.. terwijl ze je al omsingelt hebben. Slaat gewoon helemaal nergens op. Dit is echt zo'n wacke game waarbij de vijand als kip zonder kop op je af rent en alles mis schiet. de graphics vind ik tot dusverre slecht. En denk ook absoluut NIET dat cod5 cod4 op zowel het grafische gebied als gameplay gaat inhalen.
Nee ik wacht wel op de nieuwe operation flashpoint 2
of een bf3 voor pc.
