Van de custom map 'Onslaught', die onlangs werd uitgebracht, is alweer een nieuwe versie vrijgegeven. Onslaught is een custom map voor Call of Duty 4 die speciaal ontworpen is voor het Zombie gametype en is gebaseerd op de horrorfilm "28 Days Later". De auteur van de map, Die Hard!, heeft gelet op de tips van de community en heeft daarom enkele wijzigingen aangemaakt en tevens ook enkele bugs gefixt. De map is hier te downloaden.
Die Hard vetelt over zijn map: "Nadat ik de tips voor mijn map gelezen had en het een paar dagen had gespeeld met andere mensen, heb ik besloten een patch te maken." Dit zijn de fixes: - Het huis staat nu op een heuvel, dit zal de map er angstaanjagender uit laten zien.
- Het huis heeft nu veel decals om het er ouder en enger uit te laten zien, ik heb ook dingen als bloed en foto's toegevoegd.
- In het afval rond het huis zitten nu meer verschillende dingen, niet alleen flesjes.
- Enkele spawns zaten vast in bomen in de eerste versie, dit is nu gefixt.
- Ik heb de zandzakken verwijderd. Dit was alleen maar onrealistisch omdat er in de buurt van het huis geen zand was. En de mensen uit het verhaal zouden nooit de tijd hebben gehad om het te maken.
- Enkele glitches zijn verwijderd.
- De worlspawn is nu donkerder, dit zal de mapper er ook enger uit laten zien.
