Remember September gaat ermee stoppen. Dat heeft Major Pain, de Project Manager van de mod, vorige week laten weten in een officiele aankondiging. Remember September, dat uitgegroeid is tot één van de grootste Call of Duty 2 modificaties, wordt niet voltooid omdat veel ontwikkelaars hem team hebben verlaten en omdat de hoeveelheid afgewerkte mod-content tegenvalt. De huidige content is beschikbaar gesteld.
"Na twee jaar intensief werken aan Remember September hebben we besloten te stoppen. Wat eens startte als een klein persoonlijk project voor mezelf, is uitgegroeid naar één van de grootste modificaties voor Call of Duty 2.", zegt Major Pain. "We vinden het eerlijk gezegd erg jammer, maar het is de enige beslissing."
Major Pain heeft er verschillende redenen voor: "Het team bestaat uit een handjevol mensen, maar bijna niemand werkt meer actief mee. In de tussentijd zijn veel ontwikkelaars uit het team weggegaan zodat er nog maar 4 mensen overbleven. Daardoor moesten we veel content eruit knippen. Begonnen we eerst met 8 mappen, uiteindelijk hebben maar 2 mappen het echt gehaald, namelijk Nuenen en Oosterbeek MP. Eindhoven en Best waren eerst ook geselecteerd, mar de problemen waren te groot om te fixen. Ook zijn veel ontwikkelaars inmiddels overgestapt naar nieuwere games." |

Respect 4 Major Pain!
Ik ondekte het project in de zomer van 2007 en heb het sindsdien in de gaten gehouden. Eerlijk gezegd had ik wel het gevoel dat het nooit af zou komen, zeker na de komst van COD4.

Zou je misschien de .map bestanden kunnen uploaden, zodat ik alsnog van de levels kan genieten? (Gewoon in Radiant bijvoorbeeld). Dat is het minste wat we kunnen doen als community en hebben de developers toch nog wat eer aan hun werk  . |

| Bedankt voor de reacties. We betreuren de beslissing, maar zoals we al op onze forums hadden geplaatst; naar onze mening de enige beslissing. Echter ben ik wel bezig het materiaal te verzamelen zodat iedereen kan zien hoe het spul gemaakt is. |
