De Nederlandse Defensie heeft een eigen Call of Duty 4 server voor militairen.
De militairen van alle kazernes in Nederland die een DTO (internet provider) server hebben kunnen door een interne public server meerdere online spellen spelen.
Spelers buiten de kazernes om, of wel de meeste spelers zoals wij, kunnen de servers niet betreden. Ook kunnen wij de servers niet in onze lijst zien. Maar ondanks dat spelen er ook militairen in de gewone server op internet en zijn er dus ook militairen COD4 aan het spelenmet ons erbij in de game.
Een klein interview met een militair: "We spelen zo'n elke dag wel een uurtje of twee, niet onder werktijd, maar 's avonds als we met zijn allen op onze kamers zitten. We spelen ook matches tegen elkaar, maar niet alleen op de server van onze baas. We spelen regelmatig op de servers die voor iedereen toegankelijk zijn, daarbij zie je dat er veel van de werkelijkheid in het spel is gebracht. Zoals door hout heen schieten en indien geraakt er een rode waas op je scherm komt. We spelen altijd graag op de servers van Call of Duty 4. Dus nu weet je ook dat er zat Nederlandse militairen het spel CoD4 spelen!" |

Hollander, leuk nieuws! Ik had er al eens van gehoord, dat de militairen ook wel online spellen speelden, maar leuk om te horen hoe het nu zit.
Als ik je nog een paar tips mag geven over je tekst, er zitten een paar spelfouten in. En in de vierde regel de zin vanaf 'Dus zodoende..' klopt ook niet. Want je zegt daarvoor nog dat we de servers NIET in de lijst kunnen zien.
Nog een beetje aan je tekstjes sleutelen en het komt helemaal goed dus.. keep up the good work! |

Defensie gebruikt het spel niet om te oefenen voor missies.
Daarvoor heeft defensie een eigen spel ontwikkeld die niet te koop is in de winkel. Bij het spel van defensie moet je bijvoorbeeld meer handelingen verrichten om een wapen te herladen, dan alleen maar op r te drukken.
Zoals het Amerikaanse leger het doet, doet nederland niet doormiddel van online te spelen, Nederland doet het als Single Player waarbij de vijand gesimuleerd wordt door een kaderlid.
Doordat er op de meeste kazernes Wireless internet zich bevindt, kan het zijn dat militairen niet goed COD4 kunnen spelen via internet, waardoor ze een eigen server in de lucht hebben die alleen op kazernes te bereiken is.
