Uitgever Activision heeft het afgelopen fiscale jaar, dat op 31 maart eindigde, een winst gemaakt van $344 miljoen. Vorig jaar was dat nog maar $85 miljoen.
In totaal heeft de uitgever $2,9 miljard verdiend, waarvan $344 miljoen netto winst overblijft. Vorig jaar had Activision slechts de helft verdiend. Vooral sterke titels als Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock en Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare zijn de oorzaak van het recordjaar. Call of Duty 4 was bij de afsluiting van het fiscale jaar meer dan negen miljoen keer verkocht.
De uitgever legde ook uit hoeveel procent van hun inkomsten te danken was aan de consolemarkt. Maar liefst 82,8% van het totale inkomen is afkomstig van de console-afdeling. PC-games hebben 6,4% in handen en handhelds 10,8%. Bij de console-titels valt op dat de PlayStation 2 nog lang niet aan zijn einde is. 29% van alle verkopen waren PS2-titels. De Xbox 360 heeft 31% in handen, PS3 13% en Wii 12%.

A. Krijg een baan! 60 euro is niet veel!
B. Als jij naaar de bios gaat of een dvd koopt dan betaal je 10- 15euro voor iets wat misschien anderhalf uur duurt. En met games betaal je maar 50-60 euro voor iets wat 8 uur duurt en met multiplayer spellen nog veel langer.
C. Het idee dat je ok bent als je alleen SP spellen download is ook dom. Wat nouw als Infinity Ward's nieuwe titel SP only zou zijn? En iedereen zou hem downloaden. Dan zal er op een gegeven moment ook geen goeie multiplayer ooit meer komen. |

| Ik speel alleen nog maar de demo van CoD 4. Ik denk wel dat ik de aankoop zal durven begaan. Alleen bij de Cod serie is nooit zeker te weten of je pc het gigantische spel wel aankan. Kan iemand mij een adres van een website geven waar je kan meten hoeveel ruimte er nog over is en wat de snelheid na de installatie van CoD is? Als je er een hebt stuur hem AUB hierheen. Ik controlleer het zowat elke dag. Maar ik ga weer.. PS: De graphics waren mooier dan ooit. |
