De website Dark Zero heeft zich ook in de geruchten gemengd die bestaan over Call of Duty 5. Er werd namelijk onlangs een artikel gepubliceerd dat suggereert dat het vijfde deel van de Call of Duty-serie grotendeels in Japan zal afspelen. Het is nog steeds niet officieel bevestigd, maar het wordt wel steeds aannemelijker dat Call of Duty 5 inderdaad de Pacifische gebeiden als toneel gaat gebruiken.
Het is reeds enkele maanden geleden bekend geworden dat het vervolg van Call of Duty 4 door Treyarch wordt ontwikkeld en weer tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog af zal spelen. Ook deden de geruchten de ronde dat de gevechten niet meer op de Europese grondgebieden zal plaatsvinden, maar dat je in Call of Duty 5 in de schoenen stapt van de soldaten die deelnamen aan de Pacifische campagne van de Tweede Wereldoorlog. En die bevat uiteraard interessante gebeurtenissen, zoals de Battle of Iwo Jima. Hopelijk is dit aantrekkelijk nieuws voor de kritische mensen onder ons die nog weinig verwachten van Treyarch. |

Eerst maar is die nieuwe mappen voor cod4. Te triest dat Activision eerst geld harkt bij Xbox en Ps3 en daarna over de brug komt met de patch 1.6 met killcams en over paar maand pas met 1.7 incl de nieuwe mappen.

Jammer, had gehoopt op een echte WW2 in Europa, met mooie CoD4 graphics. Pacific Theater heeft mij nooit getrokken (heb wel respect voor degene die hun leven daar gegeven uiteraard).
