Het online geweld is gisteren dan eindelijk weer losgebarsten. De Call of Duty 4 Europe Cup - georganiseerd door Interactive 3D - kende gisteren zijn start. De cup is nog jong, vele wedstrijden staan nog op het programma en de clans zijn nog vers: tijd om kennis te maken met het bolwerk van strijd.

Zo bestaat de Europe Cup niet langer meer uit twee delen, maar is er besloten om een gezamelijke cup te starten. Deze bestaan uit maar liefst 80 internationale clans, met aanwezigheid van top clans. De 80 clans zijn gesplits in 10 groepen van 8. In de eerste weken spelen de clans zeven wedstrijden (duurt tot 28 april) waarna tien groepwinnaars en zes clans die het beste als tweede zijn eindigd de knock-out rondes ingaan. Dan zijn er nog vijf wedstrijden nodig om te winnaars te kronen. In mei de finale. Wie heeft potentie?

De cup kent een sterk deelnemersveld. Zo mogen we hardMethod Gaming, Lowllandslions, KnightS*Rotterdam, KaoS Contingency, OVERLOAd, H2k.Thermaltake, Stheno e'Sports, KomaCrew e.V., bioXar, inteRaction, n!faculty en here2own tot mogelijke finalisten rekenen. Met 30 clans uit de 80 kent Nederland een sterke delegatie. Ook onze zuiderburen zijn met 4 clans vertegenwoordigd in de cups.
