| Nieuwe massive update van Resistance From Within Mod Update |

Een veel belovende modification voor Call of Duty 2 is de Restistance From Within Mod. De mod heeft zowel een singleplayer deel, waar je onder andere als paratrooper landen als Frankrijk en Norwegen aandoet, als een multiplayer deel met vele nieuwe maps. Het is 31 augustus geweest, zoals belooft: een massale update met wapen- en character skins, de eerste beelden van Destroyable Environments en screenshots van de singleplayermappen.
Destroyable Environments
Wordt geďntroduceerd in Call of Duty 3, maar nu ook in de RFW mod: vernietigbare cover. Gooi je een granaat tegen de muur: wordt de hele wand kapotgeslagen. Vuur je een granaat af op een kerktoren, vliegt in de spits in stukken.

Character Skins
Hieronder te zien op de screenshots: een Britse soldaat en een Russische medic, zowel in de multiplayer als singleplayer te verwachten.
 
Weapon Skins
Wegens een gebrek aan modellers in het team heeft het team besloten de wapens te ‘’herskinnen’’. Het team hoopt dat ze deze niet hoeven te gebruiken in de release, maar als er versterking komt zal de skins gelijk worden vervangen.
 
Carentan
Al jaren een bekende en geliefde multiplayermap, maar echter nooit verschenen in de singleplayer: Carentan. Ditmaal wel in de singleplayer als U.S 101st Airborne Division paratrooper.
 
Stokkan
Zowel te spelen in de singlepayer als de multiplayer, met de grootste explosies van de mod en een nieuw gametype genaamd ‘’Reinforcements’’
 
Water Facility
Deze map is gebaseerd op de ‘’Noorse Heavy Water plant,’’ dat werd gebruikt door de Nazi’s gedurende de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Een map met een FEAR sfeer waar tot de kleinste details aan gewerkt is.
 
Countryside
Een ‘’typische Search and Destroy map, met de open velden een hemel voor snipers.’’
