| Call of Duty 4 krijgt variatie van Capture the Flag |

De update van de AWE 4 modification, waarmee het mogelijk is om een variatie van het gametype Capture the Flag in Call of Duty 4 te spelen, is in zijn laatste beta fase. Dat maakte oprichter Tally bekend. Het gametype heeft de naam Capture the flag Back en moet zorgen voor een kat en muis spel. Naast het gametype Capture the flag Back is het ook mogelijk om te switchen naar de klassieker Hold the Flag die ook in Call of Duty 2 te spelen was. Naar verwachting moet AWE 4 in het aankomende weekend verschijnen. Het is mogelijk om het nieuwe gametype in een test server (72.243.113.9:28910) te spelen.  
Het gametype Capture the Flag haalde niet de release van Call of Duty 4 op 8 november. Infinity Ward verklaarde toen dat het niveau van het gametype niet optimaal was. Daarop volgend heeft de ontwikkelaar besloten de gametype niet bij de lancering te gebruiken. Infinity Ward benadrukte wel dat Capture the Flag na de lancering zal worden vrijgegeven via een update voor de multiplayer. Die update is nog niet aangekondigd. |
