| Call of Duty 5 terug naar WOII? |

Het lijkt erop dat Call of Duty 5 weer het genre Tweede Wereldoorlog krijgt en ontwikkelt wordt door Treyarch. Op de site van Activision is een vacature te vinden waarin ontwikkelaarsstudio Treyarch op zoek is naar nieuwe medewerkers voor een aankomende titel. Onlangs is door Activision de maak van Call of Duty 5 bevestigd. In de vacature is te lezen dat fans van de Tweede Wereldoorlog zeer welkom zijn. Daaruit moet blijken dat de nieuwe titel van Activision zich niet gaat afspelen tijdens de moderne oorlog. Met de onlangs verschenen Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare maakt Infinity Ward wel de overstap naar het genre. Al jaren vertoont de Call of Duty serie een waar patroon. Zo is Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2 en Call of Duty 4 ontwikkeld door Infinity Ward en zijn de games om de twee jaar verschenen. Om toch een Call of Duty game rond de herfst te laten uitkomen, zijn er andere ontwikkelaarsstudio's aan de slag gegaan om het gat te vullen. Zo bracht Treyarch Call of Duty 3 uit. Het lijkt erop dat Treyarch volgend jaar de game Call of Duty 5 gaat ontwikkelen. Wie weet kunnen we dan over twee jaar weer een Call of Duty 6 verwachten van Infinity Ward. |
