Op 26 juli van dit jaar werd bekend gemaakt dat de populaire map Terminal van Modern Warfare 2 ook voor de PlayStation 3 beschikbaar zal zijn vanaf 16 augustus. Echter was het nog onbekend of de nieuwe DLC voor de PlayStation 3 Elite Premium-members, net als eerder al bij de Xbox 360, gelijktijdig zou verschijnen met de map Terminal.

Vandaar dat er duidelijk is gemaakt dat dit inderdaad weer het geval zal zijn. De PlayStation 3-eigenaren in het bezit van een Elite Premium Membership voor Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 kunnen vanaf 16 augustus aan de slag zowel met Terminal, als met de nieuwe multiplayer maps Decommision en Ofshore, als met de nieuwe special ops-missie genaamd Vertigo. De overige gamers in het bezit van een PlayStation 3 zullen dan nog één dagje geduld moeten hebben en zullen vanaf 17 augustus de ietwat aangepaste map van Modern Warfare 2 kunnen bespelen.
