Maar het gaat niet zozeer om zijn dood, maar op de manier waarop hij herdacht wordt. Cody was namelijk een Call of Duty-fan in hart en nieren en dat liet hij duidelijk merken aan zijn omgeving. De familie van Cody wil deze 'hobby' voor videogames in leven houden. Zo heeft zijn moeder een Call of Duty-tattoo genomen en droegen familie en vrienden Call of Duty t-shirts op de herdenking.
