Nu Modern Warfare 3 het stokje heeft overgenomen van zijn voorganger, wordt het tijd voor Treyarch (ontwikkelaar Black Ops) om spijt te betuigen. David Vonderhaar van Treyarch twijfelt geen moment en begint zijn kant van het verhaal te vertellen... Zo vindt hij de mogelijkheid om Second Chance als perk te kiezen in de multiplayer van Black Ops een grote fout. Dit meldt Vonderhaar door middel van een toegevoegde foto op zijn Twitter. "Zie je die geweer-tegen-mijn-hoofd-foto? Dat is hoe ik me voel over Second Chance. We bedoelden het goed, maar ik heb het verpest."
Second Chance geeft gamers de mogelijkheid om hun geweer te gebruiken nadat zij dodelijke schade hebben opgelopen. |

| Al die drukte om die second chance. No probs. Ik speel er niet mee. Maar zo vervelend was t ook weer niet. Second chance de schrik van campers. Zit iemand daar te campen en maakt die second Chance tenminste nog die camper dood. Geweldig toch. Vaak zat gezien hoe doe camper dood ging door die second chance van die gast in mijn team. Prachtig toch. Net als die martyrdom van MW. Ook genoeg campers de lucht in door die shit. |

| Ik vond Black Ops geweldig!! maar om nu spijt te betuigen is slecht zo laat je zien hoe zwak je bent, ik vind Treyarch sws wel zwak, Wat ze wel in een game kunnen stoppen wat voor mij het belangrijkste is is plezier!! heb BO veel gespeeld en nog een mooi puntje is de creativiteit in de games van treyarch, Vindt MW3 wel leuk maar kan er gewoon niet mee nolifen, Bij black ops kon ik onafgebroken 5 dagen achter elkaar spelen hier haal ik amper 2 uur -_- |

ik vond gewoon WaW de beste CoD speel wel gewoon alle CoD's hoor, daar niet van, maar de Second Chance veel beter daar, echt leuk was dat. en de Maps waren het best in WaW. ik begrijp niet dat iedereen bijna WaW is vergeten. ze hebben het alleen maar over dat COD zoveel fouten maakt, maar dan hebben ze het alleen maar over de Mw1-Mw2-BO-Mw3, en niets over WaW, misschien omdat die het best was

| ik speelde waw ook veel. ik vind dat treyarch de cod games beter kan balanceren. de setting van waw vind ik zeker leuk. leuker dan mw1. ik vind het wel minder dat er bijna geen dedi servers zijn in mw3 |

De mogelijkheid om Second Chance als perk te kiezen in Call of Duty: Black Ops was een grote fout, zo stelt David Vonderhaar van ontwikkelaar Treyarch via Twitter. Second Chance laat spelers van de multiplayer nog een korte periode hun geweer gebruiken nadat zij dodelijke schade hebben opgelopen.
Als gebruikersicoon op Twitter heeft Vonderhaar een Black Ops-personage dat een pistool tegen zijn hoofd drukt. In een van zijn tweets legt hij uit hoe deze afbeelding zijn gevoel over de Second Chance-perk typeert. "Zie je die geweer-tegen-mijn-hoofd-foto? Dat is hoe ik me voel over Second Chance. We bedoelden het goed, maar ik heb het verpest." De Second Chance-perk gaf spelers aanvankelijk tien seconden extra tijd om nog te schieten nadat zij eigenlijk al dood hadden moeten zijn. Er is ook een Pro Perk-variant die deze periode verlengt tot een halve minuut.
