Volgens het Britse Official Xbox Magazine (OXM) is de singleplayer van Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare te kort. Het gameblad beoordeelde de nieuwe game van Infinity Ward echter wel met een 10. Volgens OXM zijn de 21 singleplayer missies van Call of Duty 4 al na vijf of zes uur uitgespeeld. Het is onbekend op welk niveau. De geschiedenis van de Call of Duty serie leert ons dat de singleplayer van de serie nooit van lange duur is. Ook het eerste deel van de serie was binnen 8 uur uitgespeeld. In de singleplayer heeft men keuze uit vier niveau's: Recruit ('voor spelers die nieuw zijn met first person actiegames'), Regular ('je vaardigheden in gevechten zullen worden getest'), Hardened ('Je vaardigheden zullen onder zware last komen te liggen') en het moeilijkste niveau Veteran ('Je zal het niet overleven').

Dacht idd dat IW aan gaf dat het ongeveer 10 uur duurde de SP... das dus meteen t eerste weekend 
Zelf koop ik deze game toch voor de MP...
Die gaat wel wat meer uurtjes mee dan de SP  |

Ach lekker boeiend 5-6 uur op niveau laag zullen ze wel gespeeld hebben.
En het gaat om de MP cod2 Mp speel ik nu ook dfagelijks wars en dat sinds die uit is. |

1. Het gaat me toch om de MP (singleplayer is gewoon leuk zoals BloodyBullet zegt)
2. Ik speel SP op veteran.. de eerste keer gelijk al. En dan doe je er geen 5-6 uur over hoor. CoD2 was ik ook wel langer zoet mee en die heb ik ook wel vaker uitgespeeld dan 1 keer. |

die missie was je (als je beetje goedspeelde) al in 10/20
minuten klaar
dus zegh maar 15 x 21 = 315min
315 min gedeelt door 60 is 52,5 dus ongeveer 5/6 uur |

Persoonlijk vond ik de SP van vorige PC CoD's altijd een van de beste Singleplayer ervaringen die er waren, en de multiplayer was gewoon goed, maar heb ik nooit SUPER veel gespeeld.
Had dan ook gehoopt dat de SP deze keer iets langer zou duren en minstens zo goed, dat tweede zit wel snor denk ik! |

Ach.. ik heb ook moh airborne gespeeld. in 1 na moeilijkste mode speel je het spel uit in 3 uur. Als je een multiplayer ben, rush door alle singleplayer mappen heen.. het spel draait nu eenmaal om de multiplayer. Single player is een leuke addon.. maar spellen van nu en hun vervolgen hangen samen met de popularieteit van het multiplayer gedeelte... Hoe mooier en beter het spel loopt hoe succesvoller.. immers.. cod heeft immers niet voor niets mohaa van de troon gestoten. Maar de 1 vindt de graphics belangrijker dan de speelbaarheid.
