Gisteren werd er een patch gelanceerd voor de PC (patch 1.09) en deze had alvast wat basic files voor de aankomende Mod Tools. Met deze tools zullen de PC-gamers hun servers en (waarschijnlijk) hun maps onder handen kunnen nemen. Josh Olin meldde een aantal weken geleden dat de Mod Tools eind mei zouden komen. Nou, de volledige Mod Tools niet maar misschien een deel wel... Op 31 mei kunnen we namelijk aan de slag met de bèta van de mod-tools. De mod-tools kun je downloaden bij de 'tools' in je Steam library. De Mod Tools zullen in je Black Ops map terecht komen. Allemaal hardstikke mooi en aardig, maar wat kunnen we hiermee? Josh Olin heeft de wiki.treyarch.com geupdate met wat extra informatie over de functies en hoe je het beste kunt beginnen. Wel vermeldde hij op een forum post dat het volgende in de bèta zit: - Launcher.
- Asset Manager.
- EffectsEd.
- AssetViewer.
- Maya 2009 Exporter Plugins.
- Reference materials: Maya src files, scripts, example mods, xmodel exports, texture assets.
Josh Olin heeft nog geen informatie over de mogelijke release van radiant. Als de Mod Tools gelanceerd zullen worden, zijn we natuurlijk zeer benieuwd wat jullie gemaakt hebben. Dit kunnen jullie zetten op onze Steam Group. |

Ik zie helaas nog geen Radiant, de tool waarmee je eigen levels kan maken.
zoals zombie mappen SP, of MP levels. Tot nu toe hebben we alleen de tools om echt mods mee te maken maar daar kunnen we het voorlopig wel mee redden. Maar ik blijf hopen op de Radiant. Zodat ik eigen zombie levels kan maken. |

Helaas komt zoiets alleen maar uit voor de pc. Ik had zoiets ook voor de consoles willlen zien uit komen maar dat gebeurt niet helaas. |

UT3 heeft ook mod tools voor de ps3, dus het is niet onmogelijk. |
