| Chaotisch verloop van release Call of Duty 4 PC demo |

De release van de Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare PC demo is gisteren bijzonder chaotisch verlopen. Binnen enkele minuten na de release (18:00 Nederlandse tijd) ging de mirror van Yahoo Games - als enige exclusieve mirror ter wereld - plat door de toestroom van miljoenen bezoekers. Urenlang hadden gamers niet de mogelijkheid om de demo te kunnen downloaden en werden er meerdere corrupte links over het Internet verspreid. Rond 10 uur greep ontwikkelaar Infinity Ward in door de singleplayer demo via andere site’s te verspreiden. Pas tegen middernacht wist ook Yahoo Games zijn mirror weer goed te krijgen. Ondertussen is de demo te downloaden via meerdere mirrors. |

pff....idd komop als je zo een bekend spel als cod uitbrengt krijg je dit gezeik als er teveel mensen proberen te downloaden op 1 server.
Voorbereiden was moeilijk want je kon het niet ruiken dat er zoveel mensen zijn die de demo wilden downloaden.

Ik heb wat hulp nodig, ik krijg een error als ik de demo probeer te starten. De error is: d3dx9_34.dll kan niet worden gevonden.

| Denk je nou echt dat yahoo dit niet verwacht had. Het probleem is alleen dat ze op 1 bepaald tijdstip de demo hadden gelaunchd. Hierdoor hebben zoveel man op het zelfde tijdstip op de download link gedrukt. Geen enkel bedrijf had zon probleem kunnen voorkomen ook al hadden ze 50 mirrorss |
