"I think people are going to be pretty happy what we did with the stats system in this game. If you played World at War and ever visited the web site, you'll know we had a pretty insane stats web site. Now a lot of those stats are also inside the game in what we call the Combat Record. It's 5 tabs of goodness." Het maximale prestige aantal is niet 10. Het precieze aantal is nog niet bekend. "A really good player can get to level 50 playing TDM nearly exclusively in about 20-12 hours. This data is based on a really good player who did it and it should be fairly representational. Our goal was a good ++ player doing it 24 hours, so we feel good about the tuning. As for the Prestige levels? Well. We'll see. We have a really good idea what the final number is but nothing is ever final final until it's final so if I tell you and it changes, you'll just say I deceived you. I stand by what I said. It's not 10."
"The doors that open and close are in the ground, they are not doors you walk into, they are doors that open up in the ground so you can drop down to another part of the map, and the doors are in the middle of the map in the open."
"We have one map which has a giant set of horizontal doors that can be opened and closed. This subtle change has impact largely in objective based game modes. Depending on this game mode and what objectives you are taking or defending will determine if you want them open or closed. The door has two switches on opposite side of the maps with a site line between them. Finally, the switch is on a timer. You can't instantly open if it just got closed. The gameplay impact is very finessed (as it should be).
Not every door can be opened and closed. Like previous games, they are forced open, don't exist, or are closed. They are used for map flow control and pacing." |
