Infinity Ward heeft enkele gametype's van Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare door laten schijnen. Community Manager Fourzerotwo benadrukt dat er meer gametype's beschikbaar zullen zijn in de multiplayer van Call of Duty 4. Voor de multiplayer zijn de oude gametype's van Call of Duty 2 gebruikt, en enkele nieuwe geïntroduceerd. dat zal wel die gametype van cod:uo zijn, dat je bepaalde plekken moet overnemen van 't level, vlaggen ofzo. en ik denk dat die sabotage 'retrieval' is, maar wat die oldschool inhoudt heb ik geen idee van.
