Ieder die de singeplayer van Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 ook maar een klein stukje heeft gespeeld weet dat Makarov één van de slechteriken is. Makarov is de opvolger van de slechterik Zakhaev uit Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Voor de gene die de Hardened- of Prestige-edition in huis heeft gehaald heeft ongetwijfeld ook gebruik gemaakt van zijn voucher, met een code erop, die toegang gaf om de game Call of Duty: Classic te downloaden. Echter liepen sommige gamers tegen iets opmerkelijks aan in deze game. Naast dat Cpt. Price ook toen al meedeed (die man is schijnbaar onsterfelijk), was Makarov niet altijd een slechterik. Hij was ten tijde van de Tweede Wereldoorlog namelijk soldaat bij de Russen. Is de conclusie dan, dat het verhaal achter de hele Call of Duty-franchise veel dieper is dan wij denken? Is dit dan ook de reden dat er waarschijnlijk een Call of Duty-film komt? |

In engeland is/was het de traditie dat als je vader in het leger ging dat jij ook erin moest, dus wie zegt dat hij dezelfde man is? Het kan ook z'n zoon zijn, en dus niet persé die uit COD1, COD2.
Over Makarov:
Kijk maar in een telefoonboek hoeveel mensen "De Boer" heten van hun achter naam, het kan gewoon iemand anders zijn en niet persé die van de afbeelding.
Conclusie; Denk een klein beetje door als je dit soort dingen wilt posten, er zijn meerder mensen met dezelfde naam. |

In de missie no russian speel je undercover met de naam Alexei Borodin. Dat kan ook uit COD 1 komen, namelijk Alexei is de rus die je speelt en Borodin is de eerste rus die je tegen komt.
Net als Sergeant Foley afgeleid kan worden van Captain Foley uit COD 1. Dus Makarov is niet de enige. |
