De killstreaks kennen we al van de eerste Modern Warfare, deathstreaks zijn echter nog voor vele geheel onbekend. In de eerste Modern Warfare zaten drie killstreaks, in Modern Warfare 2 zitten maar liefst vijftien killstreaks en voor zo ver we weten vier deathstreaks. De killstreaks: - 3 kills, UAV: Shows enemies on the minimap
- 4 kills, Care Package: Airdrop a random killstreak or ammo
- 4 kills, Counter UAV: Temporarily disables enemy radar
- 5 kills, Sentry Gun: Airdrop a placeable sentry gun
- 5 kills, Predator Missile: Remote control missile
- 6 kills, Precision Air Strike: Call in a directional airstrike
- 7 kills, Harrier Strike: Call in a Harrier Strike
- 7 kills, Attack Helicopter: Call in a support helicopter
- 8 kills, Emergency Airdrop: Call in an emergency airdrop
- 9 kills, Pave Low: Heavy armored assault helicopter
- 9 kills, Stealth Bomber: Call in a stealth bomber
- 11 kills, Chopper Gunner: Be the gunner of a chopper
- 11 kills, AC-130: Be the gunner of an AC-130
- 15 kills, EMP: Call in a Electromagnetic pulse bomb
- 25 kills, Tactical Nuke: Deploy a tactical nuke
Van deze vijftien killstreaks, kies je drie killstreaks en die worden toegepast in de game! Deathstreaks: - 3 deaths, Copycat: Copy the loadout of the enemy that killed you on your fourth death
- 4 deaths, Painkiller: Triple health for ten seconds after respawn
- ? deaths, Final Stand: Last Stand, but you will be able to use your primary weapon
- ? deaths, Martydom: Drop a live grenade

| All dat gedoe moet veel hoger, verneukt elke public game eigenlijk. Gewoon hoge getallen doen, het is totaal niet meer speciaal een airstrike of helicopter aanroepen, elke idioot kan dat. Gewoon 5 kills, 10 kills, 15 kills, 20 etc doen. Niet 3,4,5,6,7 etc. Slecht over nagedacht.. |

Ik ben eigenlijk wel blij dat er zoveel verschillende killstreak zijn, dit zorgt er eigenlijk toch voor méér afwisseling in de gameplay. |

wat meeste geke is sommige killstreaks in mods op COD4 al waren.
Zoals de NUKE streak, die bestond al in een mod. Die hadden wij zelfs als server draaien.
Ook de AC130 vliegtuig is een voorbeeld daarvan.
Je kan zeggen dat IW gewoon gekeken heeft naar de mods en daar verder gegeaan.
