Dit is de eerste column van Ever121, nieuw redactielid en vast bezoeker.  De derde officiële zombie map van World at War, gemaakt door Treyarch, zit inbegrepen in Map Pack 2 die gratis is voor de PC en voor 10 euro verkrijgbaar is voor de consoles. Maar deze keer is het anders, je vecht niet tegen Duitse maar Japanse zombies. In een moeras ergens op een onbekende plaats, met vier grote helden uit vier verschillende landen die het opnemen tegen een hele horde van sushi-etende monsters.
Dat is toch wel gelijk iets wat opvalt, vier personages die ieder een ander achtergrond hebben en ieder een eigen karakter. Zo hebben we Tank Dempsey, een Amerikaanse held die gevochten heeft op Peleliu en nu om een onbekende reden mee vecht tegen de zombies. Nikolai Belinski, een Russische soldaat, een ruig type en alcoholverslaafde maar ondanks dat is hij een prima vechter. Takeo Masaki, de Japanse kapitein die zijn eigen ondode kameraden moet doden en tot slot Richtofen, een Duitse dokter, die hoogstwaarschijnlijk de zombies heeft gecreëerd.
Met deze vier personages moeten we zo lang mogelijk zien te overleven, maar net als in Nacht der Untoten en Verrückt is dood gaan nog steeds het laatste wat je doet. Wat me opviel aan deze map is dat je naar buiten kon, wat in voorgaande zombie mappen niet mogelijk was.
Zoals altijd in zombie mappen is de random box terug, inclusief de teddybeer waar we in Verrückt kennis mee maakten, nieuw is wel dat we nu een licht zien als de random box naar een nieuwe plaats is verhuisd, naar één van de vier hutten. Maar nieuw in de random box is de Wunderwaffe DG-2, net als de Ray Gun een fictief (mogelijk buitenaards) wapen.
Ook nieuw zijn de “Hellhounds”, hellehonden, die in een speciale ronde spawnen en komen om je af te maken, deze honden zijn makkelijker te doden dan zombies maar toch zijn ze snel en sluw, gevaarlijk dus.
Ik vond de map iets te makkelijk, een goeie tactiek gebruiken en je komt makkelijk op een hoog level uit. De Wunderwaffe was iets te overpowered, het doodt namelijk bijna alle vijanden die naast de zombie staat die je raakt. Maar ondanks dat was het toch wel de moeite waard om Shi No Numa te spelen, alleen of met je vrienden. |

| Dat de zinnen lang zijn, dat zegt helemaal niets. De meeste lezers houden van lange zinnen, omdat,naar mijn mening in ieder geval, korte zinnen de hele zaak zo opbreken en je afleiden. In een beetje literatuur geeft men de voorkeur aan lange zinnen. Het is je voorkeur maar. |
