De Amerikaanse tv-zender TNT heeft tijdens de avond van de publicatie van de Modern Warfare 2 beelden voor veel verontwaardigde reacties onder de community gezorgd. De tv-zender zond tijdens de Amerikaanse NBA Easter Conference Finals slecht een geknipte trailer van dertig seconden uit. De trailer duurt in het echt ongeveer twee minuten. Ook de verontwaardiging bij de ontwikkelaar zelf was groot. ''Holy Epic Fail!'' luidde een tekst op de Twitter-pagina van community manager Fourzerotwo. De community manager, die direct reageerde, riep mensen op om het filmpje via Twitter te verspreiden. TNT maakte overigens de vergissing goed door aan het einde van de wedstrijd de trailer in volle lengte te laten afspelen. ''Victory!'' aldus Infinity Ward. |

Wat heeft Infinity Ward nou te eisen? Zij zijn enkel de ontwikkelaars. Activision daarentegen zou een schadeclaim kunnen indienen. Maar dan valt het nog te zien wat voor contract er was afgesloten (hoe lang men zendtijd kreeg, voor wat men betaald had...).
Dik kans dat men gewoon een contract had met de zender voor een trailer uit te zenden voor de sequel op een van de best verkopende FPS games. Wat dus niet impliceert hoe lang men iets gaat uitzenden.
