Het is angstvallig stil rond de Call of Duty serie. De medewerkers van Treyarch liggen op het strand, Fourzerotwo is op zakenreis in Parijs en Infinity Ward houdt het nog even op de trailer van Modern Warfare 2 van enkele weken geleden. En zo gaan de dagen dus stilletjes voorbij zonder enig groot nieuws. Wat te doen in de tussentijd? Dikke kans dat er deze week één en ander duidelijk wordt. Deze week (25 april) is de NBA draft, waar 2 jaar terug ook de promotiecampagne rond COD4 mee werd gestart. Dit gekoppeld met het feit dat afgelopen weekend op modernwarfare2.com de trailer eventjes verdween, en er via de meta-info van de site een andere titel werd opgepikt, kunnen tekenen zijn dat er wat aan de hand is.
En FourZeroTwo is natuurlijk niet voor niks op tour langs Londen, Parijs, Madrid en Stockholm...
Op www.twitter.com/opm_uk kan je zelfs nog een twitter-berichtje lezen over het feit dat leden van dit magazine een demo hebben gezien van MW2...
Ik denk dat het feit dat we nu niks horen, misschien juist wel een indicatie is dat er binnenkort wat komt, soort stilte voor de storm! |

Het zal niet lang meer duren vooraleer we de eerste scans zullen zien opduiken als men van OPM ook al zit te praten over de eerste speelbare versie(s) van Modern Warfare 2.
De hypemachine was al op volle toeren, nu heeft ze enkel nog wat brandstof nodig. Er is genoeg hersenloos volk dat bij eender welke footage de game al een 10 geeft èn een kopie van het spel reserveert. |

@omg: een pc is punt 1 te duur voor games alleen, punt 2 met een console kan je juist goed spelen met een fps, punt 3 een controller gamed veel veel veel veel veel veel veel veel veel veel veel veel veel veel veel veel fijner en tenslotte met een console kan je lekker in je luie stoel zitten en gewoon lekker gamen

Het is een kwestie van voorkeur. Ik game op beide 'platforms' vrij veel (PC èn XBOX360) en ik blijf zeggen dat de PC het platform bij uitstek blijft voor FPS games (en ik zou zelfs kunnen zeggen het gros van de game genres).
Dit wil niet zeggen dat het onmogelijk is of ondenkbaar is om FPS games en dergelijke te spelen op consoles, in tegendeel. Ik speel regelmatig Battlefield Bad Company... World at War (voornamelijk zombies dan) en nog meer games op de Xbox360 en deze games spelen heel vlot en tof op de XBOX. Toch blijf ik het gevoel hebben dat ik niet precies genoeg kan zijn (het is a.h.w. een handicap).
En vooral bij Bad Company/Call of Duty heb ik spijtig genoeg te vaak het gevoel van 'waarom speel ik een PC game op een console? Bij momenten voelt het gewoon verkeerd om beide games te spelen op een console/met een controller... |

je kan niet eens je kop uithange op de xbox etc. etc
xbox is soort pub only geen CB of cups nou dan kom je nooit aan de duizend uur die ik al bijna heb op PC met COD2. als er nou echte goeie ladders voor xbox komt dan zou het heel mischien wel kunnen. Als je xbox speelt vind je PC kut en andersom ook meestal, Maar pc is veel makelijker te leren en xbox heb ik bij een vriend ook soms gedaan maar dan haak ik al snel af omdat het gewoon neit fijn speelt op de manier dat ik normaal op de PC speel |

@tomas: Bedenk je even dat een nieuw ps3 / xdoos360 spel 70 euro kost, een gemiddelde pc game kost 50 euro. Stel als je tien nieuwe ps3/xdoos360 spellen koopt is er een verschil van 200 euro, dat is niet niets... Een xdoos360 elite kost 300 euro, een ps3 40 gig kost 380 als je er 200 euro bij doet heb je al zeker 500 euro bij een. En daarvoor heb je een mooie budget pc ( www.tweakers.net ) incl monitor. Oja, en je kan op de pc ook een xdoos360 controller aansluiten als dat van zoon groot belang is...
En ik weet niet hoe je daar goed mee spelen als zoon ding zo traag als wat draait... ( heb zelf een ps3 ) |
