De aankomende game van Infinity Ward zal geen Call of Duty in de titel bevatten. Volgens het onlangs uitgebrachte persbericht heet de game namelijk voluit 'Modern Warfare 2'. De precieze reden waarom Activision heeft besloten om de deel van de titel weg te laten is nog niet bekend. Activision of Infinity Ward hebben nog niet nader verklaard. ''Bereid je voor op de ultieme invasie! Modern Warfare 2 van Infinity Ward ligt vanaf 10 november 2009 wereldwijd in de winkel. Het is het vervolg op de bestverkochte first-person actiegame aller tijden en zonder twijfel de meest gewilde titel van dit jaar,'' luidt het Nederlandse persbericht. Eerder werd al bekend dat de titels uit de Call of Duty serie voortaan geen nummering meer krijgen. Iedere titel zou anders zijn volgens Activision. |

Dom? Juist niet; kunnen ze serie terug origineel behouden (WOII franchise) en verdergaan met de gerelateerde serie: Modern Warfare).
Hadden ze beter van het begin gedaan met Modern Warfare om eerlijk te zijn.
En ook verschillend dan: Perks strikt voor de Modern Warfare serie, Call of Duty (WOII) gaat dan meer terug naar de roots; en wordt terug een volwaardige serie/franchise alleen). |

Eigenlijk heeft Full Metal gelijk, misschien is het beter om een onderscheid te maken tussen de Call of Duty-serie en de Modern-Warfare-serie. Call of Duty is te mooi tenslotte om uitgemolken te worden...
Zolang ze Treyarch maar geen alleenrecht op CoD geven, want hoewel CoD:WaW redelijk Uber is, zou het de serie toch niet ten goede komen xD |

Ik zat te kijken op internet voor games, en ik zag opeens modern warfere 2, ik dacht misschien vervolg op de cod4 maar het is inderdaad niet meteen te herkennen, en de tekst dat erbij wordt gegeven is ook niet al te duidelijk. dus eigenlijk betekend het het einde van de serie:
