Het was zeer lange tijd rustig rond de mod D-Day on Sword. Aangezien de laatste update dateert uit juni 2006, heeft de mod enkele vooruitgangen geboekt.
Zo is er een begin gemaakt aan de 10 singleplayer-missies – waarin je als Engelse of Franse soldaat van de stranden van Normandie een weg baant naar Caen - en hebben multiplayer-levels als Hermanville Sur Mer en Bavent een aardige structuur gekregen. Volgens D-day on Sword is de mod zo wel voor 45 procent klaar en kunnen we de komende maanden een voorzichtige eerste bčtaversie verwachten.
