Waar iedereen zo op gehoopt had, liet maar op zich wachten. Wat beloofd was in augustus, kwam een tikkeltje later. Wat anders dan de nieuwe site van Infinity Ward? Een lichtje moet hebben gebrand bij Infinity Ward toen de community met veel gebaar en gescheld aan de poorten stond. Leek de vorige site nog meer op een saaie folder, met de nieuwe site zet IW een stap dichter bij de community. Communitymanager Fourzerotwo ging achter de computer zitten en haalde zoals gezegd nachten lang door om de nieuwe site op te zetten. We mogen concluderen: het resultaat mag er zijn. Een kijkje op de nieuwe site van InfinityWard:
Voorheen mag er dan wel geen hond infinityward.com hebben bezichtig, met de nieuwe site is het wel degelijk interessant geworden een kijkje te nemen. De kracht van de site zit hem niet in het nieuwsgedeelte of in de media-sectie waar de laatste screenshots en filmpjes kan worden bekeken. Evenals de nieuwe Tactics & Strategies , waar overzichtkaarten van multiplayer-levels te vinden zijn plus tot nu toe ontbrekende strategieën, is slechts een extraatje. De echte waarde van de site kan worden toegeschreven aan het nieuwe Community- systeem.
Het systeem kan vergeleken worden met een de beroemde site Hyves.com, maar dan voor Call of Duty- gamers. Simpel als wat beheer je een eigen weblog, creëer je een eigen ‘Squad’- pagina met functies als een Chat, forum en event- en contestpagina – perfect voor websiteloze clans - en bouw je een vriendenlijst op. Daarnaast is het nog mogelijk te chatten met ontwikkelaars, het lezen van zijn of haar weblog, het versturen van berichten etc. etc. etc... Het klinkt veel, het is ook veel, en nog veel uitgebreider als hier wordt beschreven.
En zo gaat er weer een boekje dicht. De site ziet dan wel drie maanden te laat het licht, maar het is er; het voelt goed. InfinityWard.com: een bezoekje waard.. wij hebben er al een.

Waarom altijd die lange verhalen met een hoop geneuzel er omheen, Tjeerd? /ontopic
De website is mooi, maar naar mijn idee te druk. Teveel opties en dingetjes om jezelf bekend te maken. Maar qua vormgeving is het wel aardig gedaan  |

| Wilde naast de saai nieuwsberichten de site iets meer levender houden met dit soort berichten.. Er is niet veel nieuws rond callofduty.. We hebben de keus , of dagenlang geen nieuws of af en toe zo n verhaaltje met dan misschien wel een hoop geneuzel.. |
