| RGN en FPSAdmin: 'Wacht met vrijgeven van mods' |

Iedereen bezig is met het ontwikkelen van custom materiaal voor World at War, zoals custom maps en mods, wordt geadviseerd om te wachten met het vrijgeven hiervan. Omdat er een aantal dingen nog niet goed werken, zoals de modfolder (fs_game) en de HTTP redirect, kunnen er allerlei misverstanden optreden, waar de eindgebruiker nog heel wat last van kan krijgen. Het wachten is op een tweede patch van Treyarch.
Dit lieten FPSAdmin en RGN deze week weten. De websites, die vooral bekend zijn omtrent het modgebeuren, voorspellen een hoop chaos wanneer alle custom content die met behulp van de mod tools ontwikkeld wordt, nu al op gameservers geinstalleerd wordt.
Hoewel dezelfde engine als Call of Duty 4 gebruikt wordt, is er toch het een en ander veranderd. Zo worden bijvoorbeeld alle persoonlijke data opgeslagen in de Appdata map in plaats van de installatiemap. Het gebruik van de fs_LocalAppData dvar wordt absoluut afgeraden.
Steeds meer lijkt het alsof de PC-versie van Call of Duty: World at War niet goed is nagekeken op bugs en compatibiliteit met Windows. Er zijn al veel hardnekkige fouten ontdekt waarvan de meesten nauwelijks opgelost kunnen worden. Dus nogmaals gezegd: patch 1.2 is hard nodig! |

| Idd 1.2 is hard nodig.. maar ik denk dat een 1.3 1.4 1.5 enz... ook niet zijn uitgesnoten want zelfs met de fixes van 1.2 zijn in mijn ogen nog lang niet allen problemen opgelost. tot die tijd zullen we het juist moeten hebben van de MODS |

Zoals ik al verwachtte... de testing bij Treyarch is slecht. Dit was zo bij vorige delen. Het enige verschil nu is dat de game op zich beter uitgewerkt is.
De PC versie had bij geen enkel zichzelf respecterend bedrijf door de QA geraakt. Ik spreek uit ervaring. |

pff nou ik heb t spel aan mijn broertje gegeven.
Ik vind er geen reet aan. Het geluid alleen al erger ik me dood aan alsof je met een mini klappertjes pistool rond rent. Het klinkt niet alsof je in een dikke oorlog zit en de kogels je om je oren vliegen. Verder vind ik dat de game VAAK vastloopt als je even naar het bureablad wil. De wapens zuigen ass.. ik ben zelf level 20 en heb me tot nu toe dood geergerd aan het grote verschil van de wapens.. zo hebben de levels 45+ veel te veel voorsprong op iemand die net begint met een simpel kut rifle.
