De beta van Call of Duty: World at War wil bij veel mensen niet werken. Hieronder vind je nog enkele vragen beantwoord. 1) Waar is mijn configfile?
De config file (config_mp.cfg) is een file waar eigenlijk alle informatie instaat omtrent persoonlijke settings, zoals je controls en grafische instellingen. Veel mensen passen die config aan om bijvoorbeeld een hogere FPS te halen of binds te maken. In CoD4 stond die config standaard in C:Program FilesActivisionCall of Duty 4 - Modern Warfareplayersprofilesplayername . In CoD5 is dat echter verandert, de config file staat nu ergens anders!
Als je Windows XP hebt, vind je de config in:
C:Documents and SettingsusernameLocal SettingsApplication DataActivisionCoDWaWbetaplayersprofilesplayername
Heb je Windows Vista, dan staat de config in:
C:UsersusernameAppDataLocalActivisionCoDWaWb etaplayersprofilesplayername
2) Ik kan mijn FPS niet zien, ook al staat /cg_drawfps op 1?
Klopt, in de beta kan je om de een of andere reden je FPS niet zien. Dit valt echter heel makkelijk op te lossen: download de gratis versie van Fraps. Fraps kan gebruikt worden om ingame video’s te maken, maar toont ook je FPS. Start gewoon Fraps op en dan de beta, en rechts bovenin zal je je FPS zien staan. Niet zo betrouwbaar als /cg_drawfps 1, maar het geeft je toch al een idee van je fps…
3) Help, ik krijg enkel een zwart scherm als ik de beta opstart!
De beta ondersteunt jammer genoeg geen Shader 2.0 grafische kaarten. De full game zal dat waarschijnlijk wel doen, maar de beta dus nog niet. Bij sommigen kan het helpen om een paar minuten te wachten, als dat niet helpt is de enige oplossing een betere grafische kaart kopen of wachten tot de full game uitkomt. Eventueel kan je de game ook in safe mode openen (als de game vorige keer gecrasht is vraagt ie of je in safe mode wil opstarten als je hem opnieuw opent). In de Safe mode gebruikt de game DirectX7. 4) D3dx9_37.dll not found
Dit is een zeer vaak voorkomende error waar ondertussen verschillende mogelijke oplossingen voor bekent zijn.

Als je Windows XP hebt, zet je de bestanden in C:WINDOWSsystem32. Heb je Windows Vista, dan zet je de bestanden in C:WINDOWSsystem. Meer info vind je hier: Call of Duty, World at War (je hebt wel een account op callofduty.com nodig)
Eventueel kan je de file ook hier downloaden: DLL-files.com - d3dx9_37.dll, free download
Ik zou dit echter niet aanraden en hem van de officiële microsoft website downloaden.
5) G_Spawn errors
Indien je deze error krijgt ligt dat aan de server, niet aan jou! De server moet dan gerestart worden, het enige dat je als speler kan doen is een andere server gaan zoeken.
Voor serveradmins: lees dit topic om te vermijden dat he server crasht met deze error! Dit zal het probleem grotendeels oplossen. We hopen dat deze post voor veel mensen het einde betekent van de problemen. |
