Treyarch probeert met Call of Duty: World at War een goede shooter neer te zetten. Eerder was Call of Duty 3 - ook makelij van de Amerikaanse ontwikkelaar - tot slechtste game van de Call of Duty serie bevonden. Of World at War deze keer wel aan de verwachtingen doet en zelfs Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare verslaat, is nog de vraag. OXM somde in ieder geval een drietal redenen op. De site vond World at War namelijk meer als een oorlogsgame voelen dan Call of Duty 4. Ook heeft de game van Treyarch meer opties (als bijvoorbeeld het gebruik van Death Cards) en heeft het een co-up. In Call of Duty 4 ontbrak dat. |

media kan een spel nog zo de hemel in prijzen maar de gamer beslist of het goed is of niet.......
als er bij de release ook maar iets teveel bugs in zitten (sorry voor het negatieve) dan zal de hele game-wereld het spel laten vallen als een baksteen (net als medal of honor airborne, die viel ook tegen). die zie je al in de budgetbakken terwijl cod4 nog rustig voor 50+ eurotjes in de winkel staat.
maar we zullen de release afwachten ook al heb ik hem niet ge-preorderd. koop hem wel als ik de reviews heb gelezen.

Dit zal geen Airborne-mislukking worden denk ik, aangezien bij Airborne de fouten waren dat de multiplayer slecht was en dat er weinig ondersteuning was voor dedicated servers. En dat soort dingen.
Maar ja, ik weet het ook niet. Ik wacht af.  |

De eerste update van de beta is al geweest inmiddels... Het spel voelt steeds beter aan, nu ik wat meer gespeeld heb. BA rifles moeten sterker, en aan de verhouding bazooka-tank moet nog iets gedaan worden. En misschien is het geluid nog iets te vlak.
Maar mijn vertrouwen in Treyarch komt terug. CoD:UO staat tenslotte nog steeds op mijn nr2 van meestgespeelde games |

Die gasten hebben helemaal gelijk, het wordt een goed spel, zelf vind ik WO2 nog steeds het beste genre voor CoD, ook al is modern ook niet verkeerd.

Het beste genre is zeker weten de 2e wereld oorlog. Maar..
Toen ik cod5 beta speelde kreeg ik niet de feeling die ik hoopte die ik kreeg bij het spelen. Bij cod4 was dat eerst ook, totdat promod uitkwam want die speelde al heel wat beter.
Hoop dus ook dat er voor cod5 een soortgelijke mod uitkomt. Gameplay vind ik namelijk stukken minder dan de graphics en de content. |
