Gametrailers.com heeft onlangs een interview gehouden met de David Vonderhaar. De Game Design Director van Treyarch vertelt in het kort vijf minuten durende gesprek enkele nieuwe details over de multiplayer van Call of Duty World at War. Zo gaf Vonderhaar onder meer informatie over de gametypes, type granaten en de aanwezige tanks in de multiplayer.
De multiplayer bestaat uit 13 maps, waarvan enkele zijn vertaald uit de singleplayer. In de multiplayer is het mogelijk om de gewoonlijke gametypes als Domination, Sabotage, Team Deathmatch, Deatmatch en Search and Destroy. Daarnaast zijn de gametypes War uit Call of Duty 3 en Capture the Flag ook weer van de partij.
In de mappen waarin de Russen het tegen de Duitsers opnemen zijn er twee verschillende tanks aanwezig. Op iedere tank kunnen twee mensen plaatsnemen. Door middel van het gebruiken van enkele speciale perks kan je meer uit de tanks halen, bijvoorbeeld het roteren sneller te laten uitvoeren of de rijsnelheid op te voeren.
Er zijn zes verschillende granaten aanwezig in de multiplayer. Naast de ‘gewone’granaat, de smoke granaat, signal flare, gasgranaat en de molotov cocktail (1-hit-kill).
Daarnaast is de perk ‘last stand’ ook nog steeds van de partij. Enige toevoeging: mocht er iemand in jou buurt zijn met ook een ‘last stand’ als perk, dan kan deze jou weer volop levend maken.

OH die singnal flare is een soort van flashbang ja.
Je ziet die ook in die trailer waar die amerikanen worden door een jungle lopen en ze komen overal dode japaners tegen.
Maar de jappen vuren en singal flare (flashbang) de lucht in waardoor die amerikanen eve zijn verblindt, die jappan komen tevoorschyn en snijden en hakken die amerikanen dood.
