Sinds vorig jaar november is Call of Duty 4 nog steeds één van de meest gespeelde games op Xbox Live. Ook is bekend dat er inmiddels al 10 miljoen unieke mensen online hebben ingelogd op de consoles Xbox 360 en de Playstation 3.
Dat maakte Infinity Ward's Community Manager, Robert Bowling, vandaag bekend op zijn blog. Bovendien telt de totale community nog veel meer mensen, omdat de PC gamers niet meegerekend zijn.
Vanwege het grote succes van Call of Duty 4 blijft Infinity Ward de game goed ondersteunen, door af en toe extra content aan te bieden. Zo zijn er al diverse patches verschenen voor de consoles en heeft de ontwikkelaar een map pack uitgebracht, die vier nieuwe multiplayer mappen toevoegt aan het spel.
Binnenkort hoopt Infinity Ward nieuwe playlists uit te brengen voor de consoles. |

Ah juist, dat bedoelde ik. De PC versie was heel weinig verkocht vergeleken met die van de consoles, helemaal gelijk.
Maar het werkelijke aantal spelers online van de PC zal ook wel heel hoog zijn. Alleen hebben veel mensen het spel illegaal. |
